2024 Summer School of Arabic Language and Culture
August 5 to August 30, 2024
The Tangier Summer School is an intensive study of Arabic language and Arabic and Islamic culture.
Intensive Arabic courses, taught by native speakers who specialize in teaching Arabic L2, have a total duration of 80 hours and are structured in different levels and adapted to the needs of the class group or individual student who chooses the individual course.
The basic levels of the intensive courses are:
absolute beginner, basic (A1), intermediate (A2), advanced intermediate (B1), advanced (B2).
Levels may vary depending on the number of students enrolled and their level of proficiency. For example, it is common to create an intermediate level between A1 and A2.
The student’s language proficiency is assessed through a simple placement test that will take place on the first day of attendance.
It is possible to participate for a duration of less than 4 weeks.
We therefore structured the teaching in a modular system as follows:
- 4-week course
- 3-week course
- 2-week course
For beginners who do not even know the alphabet it is preferable to start on the 1st day of the Summer School.
ARAB AND ISLAMIC CULTURE AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
MOROCCAN DIALECT COURSE – DARIJA – Wednesday h17:00 – 19:00
2 hours a week in the city’s most charming cafes!
The Moroccan dialect course is an elective open to all students in our courses and designed to give “a smattering” of the Arabic language spoken on the street.
At the café, at the market, in the cab, around the city… to put the lessons into practice right away!
POLITICS AND GEOPOLITICS OF THE CONTEMPORARY ARAB WORLD – [Date to be decided]
Cultural insight program.
Cultural activities are INCLUDED in the standard Arabic course fee and are activated with a minimum of 6 participants.
EXTRA: VISIT TO ASILAH
In school hours and INCLUDED in the standard Arabic course fee is activated with a minimum of 6 participants.

It is possible to have the course only by providing accommodation independently.
You can on REQUEST organize individual courses (one2one) or for two people (one2two).

THE SEAT OF THE ARABIC COURSES IN AUGUST
The seat for the Arabic language courses is the Groupe Scolaire Tangerine, a brand new facility on Av. Moulay Rachid, Tanger.
